Health & Safety Advisor – Leading Main Contractor – Dublin & Wicklow

The Opportunity
Working closely with site and project management teams, you will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture while ensuring best practice across multiple construction projects.
You will provide practical advice, coaching and support to operational teams, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current legislation and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert Health & Safety advice across live construction projects.
- Support site management teams with the implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Monitor lifting operations, temporary works, permit systems, inductions, fire safety and emergency procedures.
- Lead and support accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and engagement with project teams.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure risks to employees, subcontractors and third parties are effectively managed.
- Produce regular Health & Safety reports for senior management.
- Build strong working relationships with Directors, Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence.
